Several months ago I had a chance to visit the Mizu booth at the Outdoor Retailers Show. I’m embarrassed to admit that up until that time I had never tried a stainless steel water bottle and used ddisposable plastic bottles way more than I should. During my visit I learned that my drinks could stay cold for up to 24 hours in a Mizu bottle. A few months later, I received a sample of the S6 Enduro Spearmint Bottle to put to the test.
I immediately fell in love with the color of the Mizu Enduro. The cool spearmint reminds me spring has come which always makes me happy.
Though I love the way the Mizu bottle looks, I’m more impressed with the functionality and how well it keeps drinks both hot and cold. The sleek design means that it easily fits into the cup holders in my car and the side pockets of my backpack.
The insulation is my favorite thing about my Mizu bottle. I never realized how well a stainless steel insulated bottle would work for keeping drinks cold. I often fill my bottle at dinner time with three or four ice cubes and water. Whatever I have left, I drink the next morning and it has always been cold from the night before.
The bottle also works so well for keeping hot drinks hot that I have to cool the water down before I pour it in the bottle. I have put tea in the bottle and still haven’t been able to drink it an hour later as it is too hot. For this reason, I prefer to use the bottle for cold drinks and stick to a stainless steel bottle built for coffee for my hot drinks.
The switch to the Mizu stainless steel bottle has been nothing but positive. For health and environmental reasons, I’m glad to stop using disposable plastic bottles. If anything happens to my Mizu bottle, I will feel sad and promptly replace it with another.
