The Grapevine Trail is an easy double track with little elevation change. However, there are sandy parts that make pedaling through it a challenge.
The trail isn’t particularly scenic but some beautiful scenery exists in the background. It’s also a connector for numerous other trails. A map near the beginning of the trail shows how to get to the desired Church Rocks slick rock riding area. I stayed on the Grapevine trail and rode 2.6 miles until the road ended in a turnabout where there is a beautiful rock formation just off the road. Another 2.6 miles back made for a short but pleasant ride. I ended up riding part of it again while I waited for my small group to return. I hope to use the trail again to connect to the trials leading to Church Rocks so I can try the slick rock.
