Summer trail runs and hikes often leave me feeling famished. Even with trail snacks, I usually find my mind obsessing about the food in my refrigerator instead during long runs. Sometimes it’s nice to finally come home, take a cool shower, raid the fridge, and relax on the back deck.
The new Yoplait Mix-Ins make it easy to find a snack that gives me a balance of protein and carbs to replace what I burn off on the trails. The Very Berry Crisp is especially refreshing as it has a tasty blackberry flavor with cinnamon crust pie crust pieces and oat clusters to mix into the creamy low fat yogurt. I’ve always been one that prefers to add something to my yogurt rather than eating it plain.
I love all of the choices I get with Yoplait Mix-Ins. Flavors I wouldn’t think of on my own, like Salted Caramel Pretzel, make me want to go back to @Walmart to buy some of the flavors I didn’t get the first time. I also love having a cold snack on a hot summer day. I don’t have to scramble to find something in my cupboard to add to my yogurt when convenient snack pack has everything I need. I also don’t have to worry about overeating with the pre-measured proportions inside the package.
I may not know where my next adventure will take me but I know what will be in my refrigerator waiting for me when I get home. And who knows, it may just motivate me to run faster. Now that would be a miracle of epic proportions. I can’t wait to see what happens at the 10K race I signed up for at the end of the month.
